i am i, and i wish i weren't.

Stolen images of a woman are NOT “hot” or “attractive”. Blatantly violating human rights and privacy is not thrilling, it is not okay, it is not discussable.
It repulses me that female bodies are seen as unlimited - useless for anything except male pleasure and a vessel for neanderthal desire, filling voids of purpose. They are treated as a necessity: women lose their lives because men never received the pleasure they felt entitled to. Female worth and value as a human being in current society is quantified through their appeal to men. The concept that a woman’s body is deserved, to the point that the extraction of private images of a woman is not believed to be dehumanising or objectifying, is completely revolting. This action being condoned as the woman is a celebrity and “public property” - apparently unfair to be private - disgusts me further.
The refusal to be treat as objects is lacking. The refusal to be dehumanised is lacking. The refusal to be an entitlement is lacking. The frequency of calling out such behaviour is lacking, and I recognise it in myself every day and it cannot be condoned any more. Whether behaviour is coming from family or best friends or peers or complete strangers should be irrelevant. It is vile and unnecessary and destructive. Call it OUT.
